D'ANGELICO GUITARS OF AMERICA Trademark of instruments currently built in South Korea since 2004, and of instruments previously built in Japan 1988-2004. Distributed by D'Angelico Guitars of America in Colts Neck, NJ. Direct sales also available on D'Angelico's website. In 1988, Mr. Jerry Berberine signed a deal with Mr. Hidesato Shino to re-launch the D'Angelico line of guitars to be made in Japan. These instruments were built with the same quality that the vintage models. Beginning in 2004, production began in South Korea, and currently, only the Excel Model is being offered in America.
