The first Riverhead guitar was called the Unicorn Model RUG-2090 and it featured a Steinberger-style headless body with an alder body, three-piece maple neck, 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, two humbucker pickups, and an original bridge/tailpiece. The RUG-2090 was available in Graphite Black or Silver finish. Last MSR on this guitar was $795.
In 1985, the Jupiter and Phantom Series of guitars and basses was released. The Jupiter RJG-900 featured an offset double cutaway body, maple neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, three-per-side Gotoh tuners, a Dual Rocker double locking tremolo bridge, and two humbucker pickups. The RJG-900 was available in Jet Black, Maroon, Metallic Gray, or Pearl White finish. The Phantom RPG-1000 featured a pointy offset double cutaway maple body, maple neck with a headstock that was exactly the same width of the neck giving no distinction to where the neck ends and the headstock begins, an original bridge, two humbucker pickups, and black hardware. The RPG-1000 was available in Midnight Black, Mother of Pink, or Pearl White finish.
1990s models included the Diva Series and the Gracia Series. The Diva RD-31 featured an original-shaped single cutaway swamp ash body, one-piece hard maple neck, 22-fret maple fingerboard with black dot inlays, three-per-side Gotoh tuners, a swooping pickguard, Gotoh bridge, three single coil lipstick pickups, and black hardware. The RD-31 was available in Brown Oil, Clear Natural, or See-Through Red finish. The Gracia RG-51 featured an Ernie Ball/Music Man Silhouette-style sold alder body, one-piece hard maple neck, 22-fret maple fingerboard with black dot inlays, three-per-side Gotoh tuners, a Wilkinson by Gotoh tremolo bridge, pearloid pickguard, three single coil pickups, and chrome hardware. The RD-51 was available in Two Tone Sunburst, Burgundy Mist, Metallic Green, Silver, or Triple Black finish, and the last MSR was $1,099.
