| Luthier Charles Lindert built Lindert guitars in Chelan Falls in Wenatchee Washington between 1986 and the early 2000s. The Loco-Motive Series gets its name in part from the old railway stop near the Chelan Falls facility, near Lake Chelan and the Columbia River. All Lindert instruments are easily recognizable by Lindert's eye-catching Thumbs Up patented headstock. Lindert produced a range of guitar models that run from vintage-inspired to advanced, forward-thinking styles. Several of Lindert's models featured the Missing Link switch, which allows pickup combinations of neck/bridge, or all three single coils on together (combinations that are not available on traditional three single coil pickup systems). Guitars were produced through the early 2000s and production was moved to Korea for a short while before the Lindert name was discontinued altogether. |
