Luthier Matt Friedman has been designing and building high quality custom instruments actively for the past seven years. Friedman began carving bodies back in 1980, and spent a number of years doing repair work for local music stores. In 1989, he began full-time production of instruments. By the 2000s, Acacia Instruments had faded into non-existence.
