 AZOLA BASSES | | ELECTRIC BASS: UPRIGHT SERIES | Azola offers three different models in either Standard or Floating Top configuration, and a large number of options to choose from. The Standard Series bass configuration shares these features: ash bodies, 2-piece maple tilt-adjust neck, bubinga fingerboard, 41.5 in. scale, piezo bridge pickups with passive volume control, adjustable endpin and bout, black hardware, LaBella strings, and are finished in a natural semi-gloss finish.
The semi-hollow Floating Top configuration features an arched spruce top on an ash body (a design concept from Martin Clevinger), a bass bar and sound post, passive bass boost/arco sensitive control, Thomastik strings, and an ebony fingerboard.
For a two-year period, Azola offered an upright, violin-shaped Mahogany body StradiBass model, which featured a Clevinger-designed Floating spruce Top, figured maple laminated neck, ebony fingerboard, 41.5 in. scale, maple bridge, gold hardware, and a multi-piezo bridge pickup system with 3-band active EQ at a retail price of $4,995.
Options, upgrades and accessories available for all the listed models include six different types of pickup systems, such as the Clevinger-design bridge/dual piezo system, multi-piezo bridge pickup system, and the Latin (and Latin+) pickup system.
