TALKOVICH, S. GUITARS | Instruments currently built in Woodstock, GA. | Luthier S. Talkovich is currently building guitars in the mold of the classic American designs, but with contemporary parts, hardware, and design features that are the 1990s - not the 1950s. Talkovich features one piece southern swamp ash bodies, rockwood necks, Lindy Fralin or Rio Grande pickups, Sperzel tuners, and Wilkinson hardware. Rockwood, a process used by Greg Curbow (Curbow String Instruments), is a hardwood composite that is bound by a thermo-setting phenolic resin. This process also eliminates any problems inherent in regular wood necks such as weather fluctuations, humidity, and warping. Talkovich modernized the bolt-on neck process by designing a shifted four bolt pattern, as well as a sculpted neck/heel joint. For more information contact Talkovich directly (see Trademark Index).
