SIGMA | ELECTRIC | While the focus of the Sigma line has been primarily acoustic guitars (after all, Sigma is a division of the Martin Guitar Company), there were a handful of solid body guitars and basses distributed during the early 1970s. Two models, the SBG2-6 and SBE2-9 resemble Gibson SGs. The SBE2-9 is similar to the SBG2-6, except has a Bigsby-style vibrato. The Sigma SBF2-6 features a telecaster-style body mated to a 3 tuners on a side headstock. The SBB2-8 electric bass has a vaguely Fender Precision-style body (in the earlier Telecaster bass body style) with a 2 tuners on a side headstock. These guitars don't show up to much on the market. When they do they are worth what Martin Electrics are worth to the Martin's but on a Sigma level. | |
