ELECTRIC: AMERICAN CLASSIC RAY BENSON SERIES

Earlier versions of the Ray Benson Signature Series (model DTR-100) featured similar designs like a contoured alder body, but did not include a maple top. Other differing features include 2 single coil pickups and a 3-way selector switch. These models were available in Black (BK) and Tobacco Sunburst (TS) finishes.

STR-100 TS

- contoured single cutaway alder body, figured maple top, bolt-on maple neck, 25.5 in. scale, 21-fret maple fingerboard with black dot inlay, fixed bridge, 6-on-a-side die-cast tuners, chrome hardware, violin-shaped white pearloid pickguard, humbucker/Hot Rail/single coil Duncan-Designed pickups, volume/tone (push/pull coil tap) control, 5-position switch, controls mounted on metal plate, available in Tobacco Sunburst finish, disc. 1999.

STR-100 AM

- similar to the STR-100 TS, except features flame maple top, humbucker/2 single coil pickups, available in Amber Flame finish, disc. 2001.

STR-200 TBK

- similar to the STR-100 TS, except features flame maple top, gold hardware, Texas-shaped white pearloid pickguard, humbucker/2 single coil pickups, available in Trans. Black finish, disc. 2001.

STR-200KF N

- similar to STR-200 TBK, except in Kus finish, this is the NAMM 100th Anniversary Model, mfg. 2001 only.
