RITTER BASS GUITARS
ELECTRIC BASS
Originally, Ritter offered the Basic Bass model that featured an offset cutaway figured maple (flamed, quilted, bird's-eye, etc.) one- or two-piece hand shaped body, bolt-on graphite neck, 34 in. scale, fretted phenolic or fretless wood fingerboards, two Bartolini soapbar humbuckers, volume/tone controls, three-band EQ controls with active/passive switch, and a custom built Ritter bridge. Basic Basses were finished in a Balm finish, consisting of an oil and wax application (a high gloss polyester lacquer finish is optional for an additional charge).
By the early 2000s, Ritter had discontinued the Basic Bass and expanded to several different models. Currently, Ritter builds the Classic, the Roya, the Okon, the Raptor, the Jupiter, and the Seal. They have parametric electronics and two triplebuckers (three-coil pickups) and are available in Gold and high gloss Piano Lacquer finishes. All list prices are listed in euros, but most models will sell for over $4,000.
