 REVEREND | | ELECTRIC: USA SERIES | Reverend briefly offered the Black Cat model, which was similar to the Avenger model. The Black Cat differed in that it had no arm rest, but did have a solid white pickguard, single coil/humbucker pickup combination, volume control (no tone control), and 3-way selector switch. The Black Cat was available in Jet Black finish only (hence the name), and had a retail list price of $598. This model is only available with a rosewood fingerboard.
The Reverend guitar line features a wood-based phenolic top and back mated to a six in. wide white mahogany center block (total weight is only 6.5 lbs.). Reverend models are finished with whitewall sides and Reflecto-Hyde tops and backs; this super tough finish is available in '57 Turquoise (disc.), '69 Orange, Aged Burgundy, Aged Yellow, Aged White (disc.), Deep Sea Teal, Fire Engine Red (disc.), Jet Black, Hunter Green (disc.), Indigo Blue (disc.), and Sky Blue finishes.
Reverend guitars are available in two different levels. The Premium line of guitars are the full-fledged version that has been produced since the start of Reverend. The Workhorse guitars are cheaper in price as they feature a single-ply pickguard, non-locking tuners, and various other limited options to keep the cost down.
Reverend also offered a limited release of Rick Vito signature models.
