Distributed exclusively by Guitars 'n Jazz in Summit, NJ. | | Luthier Nelson Palen builds custom carved archtop guitars in his Kansas shop. Although Palen doesn't actually play the guitar, he has built a reputation among many jazz guitarists as an elite builder. Notable celebrities that own a Palen include George Benson, Rodney Jones, Paul Brown, and Curtis Shaw. Palen's archtops start around $6,000, but since each guitar is basically a custom-built instrument that price can vary based on specifications.
