PEAVEY ELECTRIC BASS: FOUNDATION SERIES FOUNDATION - offset double cutaway poplar body, bolt-on maple neck, 21-fret maple fingerboard with black dot inlays or rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, fixed bridge, 34 in. scale, graphlon nut, four-on-a-side tuners, chrome hardware, two single coil pickups, three knobs (two v, tone), available in Gloss Black, Gloss Red, Sunburst, or Gloss White finish, mfg. 1983-2002. Foundation Fretless - similar to Foundation, except has fretless rosewood fingerboard with fret lines, disc. 1999. FOUNDATION 5 - similar to Foundation, except has 5 strings, 4/1-per-side tuners, disc. FOUNDATION CUSTOM - similar to the Foundation, except features a black phenolic fingerboard and pearly or metallic finishes, mfg. 1984-85. FOUNDATION S - similar to Foundation, except has P/J-style humbucker pickups, hardwood body, 2 volume/tone control, mfg. 1986-1990. Foundation S Active - similar to Foundation S, except has active Bi-Fet P/J-style humbucker pickups (system requires a 9-volt battery), mfg. 1988-1990.
