PRS offers a wide variety of stains and color finishes, in addition to a number of metal finishes, which have been very popular lately. Over the decades, PRS has offered some finishes and colors that have become both rare and desirable - leading the pack for colors is Bonni Pink (available in the Custom, Signature, and a few other models). Vintage Yellow finish has always been the most desirable and collectible on pre-1992 mfg. These rare and/or desirable finishes and colors can add up to 100%+ premiums over standard colors and finishes, depending on the year of mfg., condition, and quality of top wood.
Because the choice of colors changes regularly, it is recommended to go to the PRS website: www.prsguitars.com and check out the current availability on both colors and finishes for each individual model. Also, since each PRS guitar is unique in terms of wood, colors and stains can vary from one instrument to the next, and it is always recommended to look at the colors per instrument at a PRS dealer.
Until 2005, PRS colors and stains were listed by finish groups.
