ELECTRIC BASS: GTB SERIES
Companion basses to the GTS series guitars of the early 1990s can be viewed as forerunners to today's current models. Both the 200 series and the 350 series offered Tension-Free necks and through-the-body bridges, 34 in. scale, 24-fret fingerboards, and PBC pickups. The GTB 200 (list $995) featured a offset double cutaway body, four-on-a-side headstock, and chrome hardware. A five-string version, the GTB 205 (list $1,295) featured similar hardware.
Both the four-string GTB 350 and five-string GTB 355 headless models have the same features as the current models. However, the newer designs have a more pronounced inverse body curve by the bridge. Earlier models had prices that ranged from $1,195 to $1,895.
Later GTB models featured Tension-Free necks and through-the-body bridges.
