The first series of Odyssey guitars featured an ornate carved top/bound body model called the Carved Guitar, which had a retail price of $1,195. The non-bound body version was available in a mahogany or ash body. All models featured a three-per-side headstock, set-neck design, two DiMarzio humbuckers, Schaller tuners, brass nut/hardware, and a high gloss, hand-rubbed finish. The Mahogany Guitar model listed for $895, and the Ash Guitar was $995. Both non-bound guitar models were offered with a corresponding Bartolini Hi-A pickup equipped four-string bass model with similar listed prices.
The Attila (AA) Series were offered between 1980 and 1981, and featured the Odyssey guitar and bass design with a bolt-on (instead of set-in) neck. Pricing is estimated to be around the Hawk series level.
In late 1978, the body design was retooled, and the headstock profile was redesigned. The previous Carved Guitar model became the Carved Top Series 100. The G100 has a carved bookmatched figured maple top, set-in neck, 24.75 in. scale, three-per-side headstock, herringbone body binding, maple headstock veneer, 24-fret bound ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays, tune-o-matic bridge/stop tailpiece, brass hardware, Schaller or Grover tuners, two DiMarzio Dual Sound humbucker pickups, four knobs (two v, two tone), two coil tap switches, phase switch, three-way pickup selector switch, available in Tobacco Shaded (TS) or Wine Shaded (WS) finishes, mfg. 1978-1981. Last MSR was $1,195.
In 1978, the previous Ash Guitar model became the Carved Top Series 200. The G200 has a double cutaway carved ash body, set-in neck, 24.75 in. scale, three-per-side headstock, 24-fret bound ebony fingerboard with abalone inlays, tune-o-matic bridge/stop tailpiece, brass hardware, Schaller or Grover tuners, two DiMarzio Dual Sound humbucker pickups, four knobs (two v, two tone), two coil tap switches, phase switch, three-way pickup selector switch, available in Tobacco Shaded (TS) or Wine Shaded (WS) finishes, mfg. 1978-1981. Last MSR was $995.

Based on Odyssey guitar designs, the Hawk model was designated the economy series with a maple body, Natural finish, and different hardware choices.
G400 has a double cutaway maple body, set-in neck, 24.75 in. scale, three-per-side headstock, 24-fret bound ebony fingerboard with dot inlays, tune-o-matic bridge/stop tailpiece, brass hardware, Schaller or Grover tuners, two DiMarzio humbuckers, volume/tone controls, three-way pickup selector switch, available in Natural finish, mfg. 1978-1981. Last MSR was $595 and add $50 for Tobacco Shaded (TS) or Wine Shaded (WS) finishes.
The G500 featured a neck-through body design, a free-floating spruce top, double cutaway semi-hollow body, spruce top, neck-through body, 24.75 in. scale, three-per-side headstock, 24-fret bound ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl inlays, hand carved ebony bridge/stop tailpiece, brass hardware, Schaller or Grover tuners, two DiMarzio humbucker pickups, four knobs (two v, two tone), two coil tap switches, phase switch, three-way pickup selector switch, available in Tobacco Shaded (TS) or Wine Shaded (WS) finishes, mfg. 1978-1981. Last MSR was $1,995. Add $200 for optional six-band on board EQ.
Odyssey's Custom Series 600 offered the customer the choice of any Odyssey guitar style, exotic or noble hardwoods, DiMarzio Dual Sound, PAF, Super II pickups, or Bartolini Hi-A pickups, four knobs (two v, two tone), two coil tap switches, phase switch, six-band onboard graphic EQ, three-way pickup selector switch, available in Tobacco Shaded (TS) or Wine Shaded (WS) finishes, mfg. 1978-1981. Last MSR was $1,995. Add $200 for optional 6-band onboard EQ.
Odyssey's Custom Series 600 offered the customer the choice of any Odyssey guitar style, exotic or noble hardwoods. DiMarzio Dual Sound, PAF, Super II pick-ups, or Bartolini Hi-A pickups, four knobs (two v, two tone), two coil tap switches, phase switch, six-band onboard graphic EQ, 3-way pickup selector switch. The G600 guitar or the B600 bass was available in Tobacco Shaded (TS) or Wine Shaded (WS) finishes, and either model had a list price of $1,495.
Odyssey offered a CustomV and Custom X-plorer models that featured neck-through body construction, rosewood fingerboards, a bone nut, 2 DiMarzio pickups, Gotoh Gut machine heads, a Leo Quan Badass bridge, volume/tone controls, phase switch, three-way selector switch. The V had a 3+3 "Flying V" headstock, while the X-plorer had a six-on-a-side headstock. Both models were offered at $999 with a hardshell case.
