| Expression Guitars have an ergonomic body shape that is hand carved for comfort and beauty, and feature the Novax "Fanned-Fret" concept and our proprietary individual bridge design. The Expression Classic features solid wood bodies in your choice of walnut, maple, lacewood, or swamp ash; vertical-grain Eastern rock maple neck, patented "Fanned-Fret" design, choice of fingerboard woods such as wenge, purpleheart, paduak, rosewood, or ebony; choice of nut widths, Bartolini pickups,various electronic configurations, proprietary Novax individual bridge system, three-per-side headstock design, available in Natural finish, mfg. 1993-current and list price is $2,650 including the case. Also available with the exclusive XR (extended range) neck ($2,850), as a baritone (available in both 28 in. and 30 in. bass scale length options, $2,950), or a seven-string ($2,950). The Expression Custom features a laminated body of highly figured book-matched maple over a body core of mahogany, lacewood, or walnut; vertical-grain Eastern rock maple neck, patented "Fanned-Fret" design, choice of wood-bound fingerboard materials such as wenge, purpleheart, paduak, rosewood, or ebony; choice of nut widths, Bartolini pickups, active circuitry, various electronic configurations that can be customized for your needs, gold, black, or chrome hardware, three-per-side headstock design, available in Natural finish, current mfg, and list price is $3,150 including the case. Also available with the exclusive XR (extended range) option ($3,300) and in seven-string configuration ($3,450). The Charlie Hunter 8-String was designed in conjunction with Charlie Hunter, and incorporates three bass strings and five guitar strings for a wide spectrum stereo sound. The solidbody model is available with a swamp ash body and maple neck, or a mahogany body and mahogany neck, ($3,300) and both models have an ebony fretboard and chrome hardware. Other features include stereo electronics with Bartolini pickups and separate outputs for the bass strings and the guitar strings, and the proprietary Novax individual bridge system. The XR 6-String was designed for John Mayer and has some unusual features; you can see and hear him play it on his DVD "Any Given Thursday". This guitar has a maple body with a purple heart top, maple neck, purple heart fingerboard, purple heart headstock overlay, Novax individual bridges, and three single coil Vintage Vibe pickups with a five-way selector switch. The regular model is $3,400 and with diamond inlay like John's it's $3,850. |
