NYC MUSIC PRODUCTS (FODERA) | ELECTRIC BASS | Before 1998, the Empire bass was offered in two variations: the Model 1 (list $2,000), which featured an alder body and a northern rock maple bolt-on neck; and the Model 2 (list $2,000) which had a swamp ash body, northern rock maple bolt-on neck, and a maple fingerboard. The current model Empire Bass is offered in a four-string or five-string configuration. Both models have either an alder or swamp ash body, bolt-on northern rock maple neck, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl inlay dots (or maple with ebony dots), Seymour Duncan, EMG, or Bartolini pickups, black or gold hardware, and a Clear Natural Satin finish. The Empire four-string model (list $2,400) has a scale length of 34 in.; the Empire five-string model has a 35 in. scale (list $3,200). | |
