MCI INTERTEK Instruments previously produced in Japan from 1983-85. Distributed by MCI of Arlington, TX. John Burkhead started MCI Intertek and produced various models of electric guitars. A designer/consultant to the company was possibly Gene Fields of Fender fame. In 1985, Fred Gretsch Guitars purchased the company. Saxon brand pickups were used in these guitars.
