 MOSRITE | | PRODUCTION DATES | Mosrite models in this edition of the Blue Book of Electric Guitars feature estimated dates of production for each model. Just as it is easy to take for granted a sunny day in the Summer until it rains, most dealers and collectors take a Mosrite model as "Just a Mosrite" without really double checking the true nature of which model it really is. Of course, the corollary of this way of thinking is to assume that the Mosrite in question is going to end up in the Far East with the rest of them! Is Johnny Ramone the only current American guitar player to use these guitars? Are there no mega-Mosrite collectors? Ventures fans unite!
The Blue Book of Electric Guitars is actively seeking additional input on Mosrite models, specifications, date of production, and any serialization information. This year's section is the official "Line Drawn in the Sand" for Mosrite fans -- assume that this is the bottom, or the foundation to build upon. Any extra information gathered on Mosrite will be updated in future editions of the Blue Book of Electric Guitars. For the time being, assume that all Production Dates are either CIRCA and/or ESTIMATED.
