Megas currently builds three archtop models. All his guitars have hand carved Spruce tops, hand carved, highly figured maple backs with matching sides, solid ebony fingerboard, bridge, pickguard, and peg overlay, figured hard maple neck and adjustable truss rod, high gloss Nitro-cellulose lacquer finish, a built-in or floating Kent Armstrong pickus, and come with a five-ply hardshell case. All models are made in 16 in., 17 in., and 18 in. bodies.
The Athena is classically styled with multi-lined plastic bindings throughout; split block MOP inlays on fingerboard; abalone dot side position markers; X-bracing; MOP nut; precision machined brass tailpiece construction with ebony overlay; and Schaller tuning machines with ebony buttons. List prices range from the 16 in. body width ($8,500), 17 in. width ($8,900), and the 18 in. width ($9,600).
The Apollo features wood bindings, abalone, dot side position makers, X-bracing; cello style f-holes, MOP nut, precision machined brass tailpiece construction with ebony overlay, and Schaller tuning machines with ebony buttons. List prices range from the 16 in. body width ($7,500), 17 in. width ($7,875), and the 18 in. width ($8,500).
The Spartan has a single bound body, neck, and peg head, parallel bracing, bone nut, ebony tailpiece with brass anchor, and gold Gotoh tuning machines. List prices range from the 16 in. body width ($6,375), 17 in. width ($6,725), and the 18 in. width ($7,200).
The Athena solid-body model is available with a choice of a solid, chambered, or hollow body, carved AAA flamed maple top, back, and sides, multi-lined bindings, graphite reinforced neck, ebony fingerboard, bridge, and frontand back peg head overlay, brass tailpiece, gold hardware, Kent Armstrong pickup, volume and tone control, and retail is $5,375. There are options such as a seven string and left-handed versions.
The Spartan solid-body model is available with a choice of a solid or chambered body, carved spruce top, mahogany back and neck, single bound binding, graphite reinforced neck, ebony fingerboard and peg head overlay, tune-o-matic bridge and stop tailpiece, gold hardware, Kent Armstrong humbucker pickup, volume and tone control, and retail is $4,200. There are options such as a seven-string and left-handed versions.
