The Legend Carved Top/Arch-top is a double cutaway shape like a Strat, but narrower through the waist, has more pronounced horns, and is deeper and more rounded. The rear body contour is also deeper and more rounded. The following are examples of current Legend Carved Top models: The Legend Purpleheart Carved Top features a poplar body, purpleheart carved top, rear-routed control and pickup cavities, creme body binding, bolt-on tiger maple neck, 22-fret purpleheart fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, six-on-a-side Schaller tuners, chrome hardware, strings-through the body fixed bridge, two single coil/humbucker pickups, volume/tone controls, five-way selector switch. This model has a Cherry Burst polyester base/Polyurethane lacquer clear coat (topcoat).
The Legend Bird's-eye Maple model is similar to the Purpleheart, except features a book matched birds-eye maple top, mahogany body, ebony fingerboard, and three active SA EMG single coil pickups. This model has a similar Cherry Burst polyester base/Polyurethane lacquer clear coat (topcoat).
The Legend Tiger Maple (flamed maple) model is similar to the Purpleheart, except features a book matched tiger maple top over the poplar body, ebony fingerboard, two single coil/Jeff Beck humbucker Seymour Duncan pickups, and mini-toggle (series/parallel/split humbucker) switch. This model has a Teal Green Burst polyester base/Polyurethan lacquer clear coat (topcoat), and the current list price is $1,495 (Canadian).
