KRAMER | ELECTRIC BASS: 250/350/450/650 ALUMINUM NECK SERIES | In 1976, Kramer introduced their first aluminum neck models with the 350B and the 450B along with corresponding guitars models 350G and 450G. According to Kramer's 1976 catalog, the first 350B does not have a center strip and has block inlays instead of dots. By 1977, Kramer had introduced two additional models with the entry-level 250B and the top of the line 650B. They also specified each model with a trim level that was designated by name including Special (250), Standard (350), Deluxe (450) and Artist (650). It is possible that early models will have unspecified features and other appointments other than what is listed. These guitars are also referred to as "New Generation Guitars." All Kramer 250/350/450/650 Basses were available with four fretless neck options (no additional cost): traditional fretless with no inlays, fretless with dot inlays, fretless with dot inlays and fretlines, and a half-fret/half-fretless option where the neck is fretted up to the D position and the remaining fretboard is fretless with white lines and dot inlays. | MODEL 250B BASS "SPECIAL" | - offset double cutaway maple body, bolt-on aluminum neck, 20-fret ebonol fingerboard with aluminum dot inlays or optional fretless fingerboard, split fork aluminum headstock, two-per-side Schaller M-4 tuners, adj. bridge, laminated black pickguard, one single coil pickup, two knobs (v, tone), chrome hardware, available in Natural finish, 33.75 in. scale, mfg. 1977-79. |
