HOYER
ELECTRIC
Hoyer currently is offering a handful of Guild- and Gibson-esque electric guitar models. The semi-hollow single Florentine cutaway Jazz '57 model has a 16 in. wide body, two covered humbuckers, a three-per-side tuners headstock, a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with white block inlays, and an adjustable rosewood bridge/raised chrome tailpiece. The Jazz '57 is also available with gold hardware, and in Metallic Gold or Tobacco Sunburst finishes. The single rounded cutaway Cat model has a 17 in. body width, and is available in Black, Foam Green, and Wine Red finishes. On the Gibson front, the single cutaway Junior 90 model has a solid mahogany body, two P-90 soapbars or two chrome covered humbucker pickups, and Blonde, Wine Red, Black, and Metallic Gold finishes; the 3-35 model is pretty self-explanatory once you remove the dash, and is available in Cherry Red and Tobacco Sunburst finishes. Hands down '50s cool goes to the Hoyer Bo model, a double humbucker, solid alder rectangular, set-in mahogany neck, maraca shakin' Willie and the Hand Jive, Bo Diddley-style guitar!
