Hopf produced several guitars during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s and the most popular ones are listed here. However, there are several others that we know very little about including the sharp-edged Commodore, and several other acoustic instruments.
EXPLORER STANDARD
- double smooth symmetrical cutatway hollow body, black body with a removable white plastic top and back that features multi-colored lighting (similar to the Rickenbacker Light Show), two f-holes, bolt-on maple neck, 21-fret fingerboard with offset dot inlays, black headstock with "Explorer standard" logo and three-per-side tuners, adj. bridge, vibrato tailpiece with long arm, string mute, two mini-humbucker pickups, clear plastic pickguard with "Hopf" logo, three knobs, nickel hardware, mfg. 1960s.
SATURN 63 ARCHTOP
- slight double cutaway semi-hollow body, solid spruce top, two teardrop-shaped soundholes on the bass bout, six-on-one-side tuners, tune-o-matic-style bridge, vibrato tailpiece, clear raised pickguard inscribed with "Hopf" logo, two single coil pickups, one pickup selector switch, one tone switch, and volume knob all mounted on a metal plate on the lower treble bout, available in Natural or Red Sunburst finish, mfg. 1960s.
SUPER DE LUX 320SL
- single cutaway semi-hollow body with a large bass bout, arched top, two cat's-eye soundholes, raised black pickguard with three mounted controls, two mini humbucker pickups, fancy tailpiece, availble in Natural finish, mfg. 1960s.
