HAMER ACOUSTIC ELECTRIC BASS This model is included in the Blue Book of Electric Guitars instead of the Blue Book of Acoustic Guitars because it is the only acoustic model that Hamer has made. ACOUSTIC 12-STRING BASS (MODEL B12A) - 12-string configuration with 3 sets of strings an octave apart, single cutaway mahogany body, bound bookmatched figured maple top, maple set neck, round soundhole, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, fixed bridge, six-per-side tuners, chrome hardware, two EMG pickups (EMG P mounted in soundhole/EMG HB mounted near bridge), three knobs (v, v, tone), active electronics. In reality, this is a solid body instrument with an acoustic look, available in '59 Burst, Black (disc. 1998), or White (disc. 1998) finish, 34 in.scale, mfg. 1991-96, 1998-present.
