HAMER ELECTRIC: PROTOTYPE SERIES PROTOTYPE - dual cutaway mahogany body, set-in neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, fixed bridge, 3-per-side headstock, chrome hardware, black pickguard, combination single coil and humbucker ('tri-coil'), volume/tone controls, 3-way selector, available in Black, Blue, Red, or White finishes, mfg. 1981-89. PROTOTYPE 12-STRING - similar to the Prototype, except in 12-string configuration, 6-per-side headstock, mfg. 1982-89. PROTOTYPE II - similar to the Prototype, except has additional single coil pickup (neck position), and additional toggle switch, mfg. 1984-89. PROTOTYPE SS - similar to the Prototype, except features rosewood or ebony fingerboard with crown (or dot) inlay, 6-per-side tuners, Floyd Rose or Kahler locking tremolo, 2 single coil/humbucker pickups, 2 selector toggle switches, mfg. 1985-89.
