HILL CUSTOM GUITARS | ELECTRIC BASS | Between 2000 and 2004, Hill named their basses the same way they named their guitars with letters and numbers. The HB Series are bolt-on models. The HB-B4 Standard (disc., last MSR was $2,199) is a four-string configurationalder or swamp ash body. The HB-B4 Elite (disc., last MSR was $2,799) has a multi-laminate neck and a figured top with walnut back. The HB-B5 Standard (disc., last MSR was $2,599) is a five-string configurationalder or swamp ash body. The HB-B5 Elite (disc., last MSR was $3,299) has a multi-laminate neck and a figured top with walnut back. The HN Series feature neck-through-body designs. The HN-B4 Standard (disc., last MSR was $2,499) has a mahogany body. The HN-B4 Elite (disc., last MRS was $3,299) has a multi-laminate neck with padauk and purple heart stripes, a walnut core body, figured top and back, and ebony fingerboard. The HN-B5 Standard (disc., last MSR was $2,999) has a mahogany body. The HN-B5 Elite (disc., last MSR was $3,899) has a multi-laminate neck with padauk and purple heart stripes, a walnut core body, figured top and back, and ebony fingerboard. The HN-B6 Standard (disc., last MSR was $3,799) has a mahogany body. The HN-B6 Elite (disc., last MSR was $4,699) has a multi-laminate neck with padauk and purple heart stripes, a walnut core body, figured top and back, and ebony fingerboard. The HN-B7 Elite(disc., last MSR was $5,499) is the same as the HN-B6 Elite except in seven-string configuration. By 2005, an entirely new line of basses was introduced by Hill. Like the guitars, models now feature names and are classified by their finishes that also dictates the features.The Motto (MSR $1,595 - $1,895) is a double cutaway alder body with a maple neck and Barolini pickups. The Huntington (MSR $1,995 - $4,695) is an offset double cutaway body available in several string configurations and body variations. | |
