 GRIS GRIS GUITARS | | Instruments previously built in New Orleans, LA between 1998 and the mid-2000s. | | Gris Gris Guitars and Instruments was founded by Ted Graham in 1998. Graham, a rock and rhythm & blues guitar player since the late 1960s/early 1970s, was looking for a guitar with the "perfect look and sound"- so he created one. Using guitar bodies from different sources, Graham commissioned New Orleans Artist Perry Morgan to paint the bodies in one-of-a-kind Voodoo-style designs. Graham also customizes the electronics, to make the guitars "irresistible to the guitar player." All hand-painted instruments were completed in New Orleans. | |
