ELECTRIC: BST (BEAST) SERIES

Baldwin-owned Gretsch produced the BST series between 1979 and 1981, and the series featured lower line models with a solid body construction and bolt-on necks (Models BST-1000, BST-1500, BST-2000), as well as higher priced models with neck-through designs (Model BST-5000).

BST-1000 SINGLE HUMBUCKER MODEL 8210/8216

- single cutaway solid body, bolt-on neck, 24-fret fingerboard, three-per-side tuners, tune-o-matic stop bridge, single humbucker pickup, two knobs (v, tone), chrome hardware, available in Brown (Model 8210) or Red (Model 8216) finish, mfg. 1979-1980.

BST-1000/BST-1500 Double Humbucker Model 7617/8211/8215/8217

- similar to the BST-1000, except has two humbucker pickups, and a three-way pickup selector switch, available in Brown (Model 7617/8215/8217) or Red (Model 8211) finish, mfg. 1979-1981.

BST-2000 MODEL 7620/8220/8221

- offset double cutaway solid body, bolt-on neck, 22-fret fingerboard, available in Brown (Model 7620/8220) and Red (Model 8221) finish, mfg. 1979-1980.

BST-5000 MODEL 8250

- offset double cutaway solid body, laminated neck-through design, 24-fret fingerboard, carved edges around top, available in Red (Model 8250) finish, mfg. 1979-1980.
