RD Artist

- similar to RD Standard, except has an ebony fingerboard with block inlay, multi-bound peghead with pearl stylized f-hole/logo inlay, gold hardware, one or two mini switches, active electronics. Approx. 2,600 mfg. 1977-1982.

RD-Custom/RD Custom 77

- similar to RD Standard, active solid state electronics, 4 knobs, 3-way pickup selector switch, one selector switch, two-way mini switch for model selection, large backplate, maple fingerboard, circuit board designed by the Moog synthesizer division of Norlin, available in Natural or Walnut finish, approx. 1,375 mfg. 1977-1979 only.
