LES PAUL MODEL (GOLD TOP, 1952-58 MFG.)
- single sharp cutaway solid mahogany body, 13 in. wide, 17.25 in. long and 2 in. deep, 24 3/4 in. scale, bound carved maple top, raised cream pickguard, one piece mahogany neck, 16/22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl trapezoid inlays, trapeze bridge/tailpiece, blackface peghead with holly veneer/pearl logo inlay, silkscreen model name on peghead, 3-per-side Kluson tuners with plastic single ring buttons, nickel hardware, 2 single coil P-90 pickups, 2 volume/2 tone controls, with or w/o Bigsby vibrato, 3-position switch, available in Gold Top/Natural back finish, mfg. 1952-58.
LES PAUL STANDARD SUNBURST (1958-1960 MFG.)
- single sharp cutaway mahogany body, bound carved plain or flame maple top, raised cream pickguard, one-piece mahogany neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl trapezoid inlay, tune-o-matic bridge, stop or Bigsby tailpiece, blackface peghead with holly veneer/pearl logo inlay, 3-per-side Kluson tuners with single ring plastic buttons, nickel hardware, two covered (1959-1960) or uncovered (1958-1959) humbucker PAF pickups, 2 volume/2 tone controls, 3-position switch, inked serialization, available in Cherry Sunburst or Cherry (very rare) finish, approx. 400 mfg. 1958, 640 mfg. 1959, and 635 mfg. 1960.
LES PAUL (SG BODY STYLE 1960-63 MFG.)
- double sharp symmetrical cutaway mahogany body, mahogany neck, 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl trapezoid inlays, black headstock overlay with pearl logo inlay, "Les Paul" inscribed truss rod cover, three-per-side Kluson tuners with double ring plastic tuners, tune-o-matic bridge, side-pull vibrato, layered black pickguard, two covered humbucker pickups, four knobs (two volume, two tone), three-way pickup switch, nickel hardware, available in Cherry or Ebony finish, mfg. 1960-63.
LES PAUL STANDARD GOLD TOP REISSUE (1968-69 MFG.)
- single sharp cutaway solid mahogany body, deeper cutaway binding, bound carved maple top, raised cream pickguard, mahogany neck, 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl trapezoid inlay, tune-o-matic bridge/stop tailpiece, blackface peghead with pearl logo inlay, 3-per-side Kluson tuners with double ring plastic buttons, nickel hardware, 2 single coil P-90 pickups, 2 volume/2 tone controls, with or w/o Bigsby vibrato, 3-position switch, available in Gold Top/Natural Back finish, mfg. 1968-69.
LES PAUL STANDARD '58 (GOLD TOP, 1971-75 MFG.)

LES PAUL STANDARD (1974-1997 MFG., LPS)
- single cutaway mahogany body, set-in mahogany (or maple) neck, bound carved 3-piece maple top, 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl trapezoid inlay, tune-o-matic bridge/stop tailpiece, blackface peghead with pearl logo inlay, "Standard" engraved on truss rod cover, 3-per-side tuners with pearloid buttons, chrome hardware, cream pickguard, 2 covered humbucker pickups, 2 volume/2 tone controls, 3-position switch, available in Cherry Sunburst, Dark Sunburst, Ebony (EB), Gold Top, Heritage Sunburst, Honey Burst, Natural, Tobacco Sunburst, TV Yellow, Vintage Sunburst and Wine Red (WR) finishes, mfg. 1974-1997.
LES PAUL STANDARD '82
- "Standard '82" on truss cover, nickel plated hardware, limited mfg. in Kalamazoo before plant closes.
LES PAUL SUNBURST '59 REISSUE (1983-85 MFG.)
- first Gibson reissue of the famous '59 Sunburst, specs based on original '59 LP Sunburst, figured flame two-piece maple top, nickel plated hardware, Sunburst finish, original mfg. in Kalamazoo (rare), later mfg. was in Nashville, mfg. 1983-85.

Les Paul Standard Faded 50s/60s Neck (LP5F)
- similar to the Les Paul Standard with 50s/60s neck, except has a faded finish, available in Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Honey Burst, or Tobacco Burst finish, mfg. 2005-08.
Les Paul Standard Raw Power
- similar to Les Paul Standard, except has Natural Satin finish, mfg. 2001-02.
Les Paul Standard Lite (LPLI)
- double cutaway design, carved maple top, mahogany back, 24.75 in. scale, includes treble '57 Classic Plus humbucker and rythmn 492R Alnico magnet humbucker pickups, gold hardware, available in Trans. Amber, Trans. Black, or Trans. Blue finish, mfg. 1999-2001.
Les Paul Standard Bird's-eye
- similar to Les Paul Standard (LPS-), except has bird's-eye maple top. Available in Heritage Sunburst, Honey Burst, or Vintage Sunburst finishes, mfg. 1993-95.
Les Paul Standard Plus (LPS+)
- available in Heritage Cherry Sunburst (HS), Honey Burst (HB), Light Burst (LB, new 2001), or Vintage Sunburst (VS), disc. 1997, reintroduced 2001 only.
Les Paul Standard Premium Plus (LPPP)
- similar to the Les Paul Standard, except has a AAA-grade highly flamed maple top, available in Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Honey Burst (disc.), Light Burst (disc.), or Vintage Sunburst (disc. 2004), Desert Burst (disc.), Trans. Black (disc.), Trans Amber (disc.), or Wine Red (disc. 2004) finish, mfg. 2001-08.
Les Paul Standard Digital/HD.6X-Pro (LPDG)
- similar to the Les Paul Standard design, except features Hex pickups (seperate signal for individual strings) that are capable of either analog (Classic) or digital output, signal goes to the onboard digital converter utilizing Gibson's patented Magic Digital Transport Technology to send the signal out of the guitar by Cat-5 Ethernet cable (can be up to 100m long), the Ethernet Cable is then plugged into outboard breakout box (BoB), which converts the digital information back to analog and outputs it into SUM, stereo, or Hex configuration, includes headphone jack with volume control, available in Blue Mist finish, very ltd. mfg. 2004-08.
Les Paul Standard Digital/HD.6X Pro Limited Edition (LPDGS)
- similar to the Les Paul Standard Digital/HD.6X Pro, except is a limited edition with 100 guitars numbered individually, signed by Les Paul, and a certificate of Ownership signed by Les Paul and Henry Juszkiewicz, available in Blue Mist finish, mfg. 2007-08.

- single cutaway Les Paul-style mahogany body, carved A grade maple or AA grade figured maple (Burst finishes only), cream body binding, set mahogany neck, 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays, black headstock overlay with pearl Gibson logo, silkscreened Les Paul model, and Standard truss rod cover, three-per-side locking Grover tuners, TonePros tune-o-matic bridge, TonePros stop tailpiece, no pickguard, two covered Burstbucker Pro humbucker pickups, four gold top hat knobs (two v, two tone), three-way pickup switch, Dunlop straplocks, Neutrik locking jack, chrome hardware, available in Desert Burst, Ebony, Goldtop with Aged Cherry back and sides, Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Honey Burst, Iced Tea, or Light Burst finish, 24.75 in. scale, black snakeskin case included, mfg. summer 2008-present.
