FLYING V KORINA (1958-59, 1962-63 MFG.)
- V-shaped two-piece Korina body, rubber strip on underside of treble bout, one-piece set Korina neck, 22-fret Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, 1.6875 in. nut width, pointed V-shaped headstock with raised "Gibson" plastic lettering logo, black bell-shaped truss rod cover, and three-per-side Kluson tuners with plastic tulip buttons, ABR-1 tune-o-matic bridge, STB, V-shaped metal plate tailpiece, layered black pickguard (early models) or white pickguard (later models), two PAF humbucker pickups with black plastic mounting rings, three black bonnet knobs (two v, master tone) and three-way switch all mounted on pickguard, input jack with large circle plastic surround on lower treble wing, gold hardware, available in Natural Limed Korina finish, 1.5 in. body depth, brown oblong case, approx. 98 mfg. 1958-59, parts clean-up 1962-63.
FLYING V MAHOGANY (1ST REISSUE, 1966-1970 MFG.)
- V-shaped one-piece Honduras mahogany body, one-piece Honduras mahogany neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, 1.5625 in. nut width, pointed V-shaped headstock with large white truss rod cover with Gibson logo and three-per-side Klusontuners, tune-o-matic bridge, Gibson vibrato tailpiece, large white pickguard that covers most of the body, two patent number decal pickups with no pickup rings, three center foil (early models) or witch hat black (later models) knobs in triangle configuration (two v, master tone), a three-way pickup switch, and a regular input jack all mounted on the pickguard, chrome hardware, available in Black, Candy Apple Red, Cherry, Natural (Walnut), Pelham Blue, Sparkling Burgundy, or Sunburst finish, 1.3125 in. body depth, approx. 175 mfg. 1966-1970.
FLYING V MEDALLION LIMITED EDITION (1971 MFG.)

Flying V Gold Limited Registered Edition (1980 Mfg.)
- similar to the Flying V Mahogany (2nd Reissue, 1975-1982 Mfg.), except has a gold headstock with an oval plaque on the back side, black truss rod cover, black pickguard, gold hardware, available in Gold finish only, mfg. 1980 only.

Flying V Heritage Korina FF-82 (1982 Mfg.)
- similar to the Flying V Heritage Korina, except has a bound fingerboard, a Custom Shop decal, an impressed eight-digit serial number on the back of the headstock, a gold Gibson raised logo, a bell-shaped truss rod cover with "FF-82" stenciled on it, and Ivory finish, 100 mfg. 1982 only.
THE V/FLYING V CMT (1981-84 MFG.)
- V-shaped maple or mahogany body, bound curly maple top, maple or mahogany neck, 22-fret ebony fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, rounded V-shaped headstock with gold horizontal logo, truss rod cover with "The V" logo, three-per-side tuners, tune-o-matic bridge, a stop tailpiece mounted much lower than previous models, no pickguard, two exposed cream humbucker pickups with cream pickup rings, three gold bonnet knobs (two v, tone), three-way pickup switch, chrome hardware, available in Antique Natural, Antique Sunburst, or Vintage Cherry Sunburst finish, mfg. 1981-84.
FLYING V - NO PICKGUARD MODEL (1981-1989 MFG.)

Flying V 83 (1983-1984 Mfg.)
- similar to the Flying V - No Pickguard Model (1981-1989 Mfg.), except has a mahogany body, different tune-o-matic bridge, and a control layout that is similar to "The V," available in Alpine White, Ebony, Electric Blue, Candy Apple Red, Ivory, Night Violet, Plum Wineburst, Red, or Silver Sky finish, mfg. 1983-84.
Flying V Designer Series (1984-1985 Mfg.)
- similar to the Flying V - No Pickguard Model (1981-1989 Mfg.), except available in three different Custom Graphic designs all using a line motif (two black and one white finish), mfg. 1984-85.
Flying V Left-Handed (1985-1987 Mfg.)
- similar to the Flying V - No Pickguard Model (1981-1989 Mfg.), except in left-handed configuration, available in Alpine White, Ebony, Ferrari Red, or Red finish, mfg. 1985-87.
Flying V Scorpions Edition (1985 Mfg.)
- similar to the Flying V - No Pickguard Model (1981-1989 Mfg.), except has a gold Custom Shop Edition decal on the back of the headstock and has a custom black/white finish (black on the treble wing and white on the bass wing), mfg. 1985 only.
Flying V W/Black Hardware (1985 Mfg.)
- similar to the Flying V - No Pickguard Model (1981-1989 Mfg.), except has a Kahler locking tremolo and black hardware, available in Alpine White, Ebony, Red or Custom Graphic finishes, mfg. 1985 only.
FLYING V XPL (1984-1987 MFG.)
- V-shaped mahogany body, large control cavity cover plate, set mahogany neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, Explorer-style headstock with gold Gibson decal, six-on-one-side mini-Grover tuners, tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece or optional Kahler Flyer vibrato, two exposed humbucker pickups with black mounting rings, three black bonnet knobs (two v, tone), three-way pickup switch, chrome hardware, available in Alpine White, Ebony, Ferrari Red, Night Violet, Pewter, Plum Wineburst, Red, or Regal Blue finish, mfg. 1984-87.
Flying V XPL W/Black Hardware (1985 Mfg.)
- similar to Flying V XPL, except has a standard locking Kahler tremolo system and black hardware, available in Alpine White, Ebony, Plum Wineburst, or Red finish, mfg. 1985 only.
FLYING V90 (1988 MFG.)
- V-shaped mahogany or alder body, maple neck, 24-fret ebony fingerboard with split triangle inlays (also used on the Trini Lopez model in the mid-1960s), matching headstock with a vertical pearl "Gibson" logo inlay, bell-shaped truss rod cover, three-per-side tuners, tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece or optional Floyd Rose vibrato with back plate, small black pickguard, single humbucker pickup, single volume knob, black chrome hardware, available in Alpine White, Ebony, or Nuclear Yellow finish, 25.5 in. scale, mfg. 1988 only.
Flying V 90 Double (1989-1990 Mfg.)
- similar to Flying V 90, except has one single coil and one humbucker pickups, two knobs (v with a push/pull coil tap, tone) and a three-way pickup switch, available in Alpine White, Ebony, or Luna Silver finish, mfg. 1989-1990.
Flying V 90 Golden Eagle (1989 Mfg.)
- similar to Flying V 90, except a standard tune-o-matic bridge, V-shaped gold metal tailpiece, STB, Grover tuners with enclosed string winder, a vertical Gibson logo on the headstock, a gold truss rod cover, eagle head graphic above the truss rod, and a custom black and gold finish (bottom wings have simulated gold feathers), mfg. 1989 only.
FLYING V REISSUE/FLYING V '67/V-FACTOR (X) (DSVR, 1989-PRESENT MFG.)
- V-shaped mahogany body based on the 1967 Flying V, mahogany neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, arrow style peghead with white truss rod cover with Gibson logo, three-per-side tuners with pearl buttons, tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, chrome hardware, white or mirror (2002-present) pickguard, two humbucker pickups, three knobs (two v, tone) mounted in a triangular shape, three-way switch., available in Cherry (CH), Classic White (CW), Ebony (EB), Natural (disc. 2004), Natural Burst (1999-2001), Trans. - V-shaped mahogany body, rounded profile mahogany neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, arrow-shaped headstock with a Limited Edition logo decal on the back and large white truss rod cover with gold Gibson raised logo, three-per-side tuners, tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, small white pickguard, two ceramic (496R and 500T) magnet exposed humbucker pickups with black mounting rings, three knobs (two v, tone) mounted in a line, three-way switch, jack mounted on a round white plate, chrome or gold hardware, available in Classic White, Natural, Natural Burst, or Trans. Flying V '98 Gothic (1998-2001 Mfg.)
- similar to the Flying V '98, except has Gibson's Gothic appointments which include a Satin Black finish, black chrome hardware, a black pickguard, truss-rod cover, and jack input plate, and no fingerboard inlays except a 12th fret moon and star design, mfg. 1998-2001.
THE VOODOO V (2002-03 MFG. DSVV)
- V-shaped swamp ash body, mahogany neck, 22-fret ebony fingerboard with 5th fret red pearl acrylic skull inlay, black headstock, black truss rod cover with vertical red Gibson logo, Tune-O-Matic Bridge, stop tailpiece, satin black pickguard, two Black Magic humbucker pickups (496R, 500T, each pickup is one-half black and one-half red), three black knobs with red numbers (two v, tone), three-way pickup switch, jack on face, black chrome hardware, available in JuJu finish, 24.75 in. scale, mfg. 2002-03.

Flying V Faded Three Pickup Model (2007-08 Mfg. DSV3)
- similar to the Flying V Faded, except has three exposed 490 humbucker pickups, two regular black knobs with silver inserts (v, tone), a six-way rotary chickenhead pickup selector switch, and no three-way switch, available in Worn Ebony or Worn White finish, mfg. 2007-08.
FLYING V NEW CENTURY (2006-07 MFG. DSVRM)

CENTENNIAL FLYING V LIMITED EDITION (1994-1999 MFG.)
