BYRDLAND - single round cutaway multi-bound hollow body, 17 in. wide by 21 in. long by 2.25 in. deep, 23.5 in. scale, solid spruce top, raised bound tortoiseshell pickguard, bound f-holes, maple back/sides/neck, 14/22-fret multi-bound ebony pointed fingerboard with pearl block inlay, tune-o-matic bridge/rosewood base, trapeze tailpiece, multi-bound blackface peghead with pearl flowerpot/logo inlay, 3-per-side tuners, gold hardware, 2 single coil Alnico (disc. late 1957) or humbucker (introduced 1958) pickups, 2 volume/2 tone controls, 3-position switch, available in Natural and Sunburst (most common) finishes, mfg. 1955-1985.
