For ease in identifying current Gibson production guitar models, the Gibson Family Code (in parenthesis) follows the model's name (in some cases, only the alphabetical prefix is listed, as the individual finishes and/or colors will result in the rest of the code). This also is true when brackets are encountered within a family code.
