PRODUCTION MODEL & GENERAL INFORMATION
In addition to the G & L bridges, both the Kahler tremolo system (1984-1986) and the Wilkinson roller nut were options on certain models. In 1998, G & L instruments underwent a major change. All models are now produced with a 4-bolt neckplate, and the serial numbers are applied decals. Unless otherwise listed, G & L guitars are available with 22-fret maple fingerboard with black dot inlay or rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay. Current models are available in left-handed configurations at no extra charge. The following listed models are available in these Standard finishes: Belair Green, Black, Black Silver Swirl (disc.), Blue Swirl (disc.), Candy Apple Red, Cherryburst, Cobalt Blue, Electric Blue, Emerald Blue, Fullerton Red, Gold Metallic, Gold Metallicburst (disc.), Green Swirl (disc.), Lake Placid Blue, Pearl White (new 1998), Red Swirl (disc.), Silver Metallic, Sparkle Black (disc.), Sparkle Purple (disc.), Sparkle Red (disc.), Sunburst, Three-Tone Sunburst, Tobacco Sunburst, Two-Tone Sunburst, Vintage White, and White. G & L also offers a number of Premier finishes on certain models. These finishes include: Blonde, Blue Burst, Butterscotch Blonde, Clear Blue, Clear Forest Green, Clear Orange, Clear Red, Honey, Honeyburst, Natural Ash, Natural Satin, and Red Burst. Premier finishes are also available on the Legacy, ASAT, and ASAT Special (contact dealer for availability). Metal Flake finishes include, Blue Metal Flake, Gold Metal Flake, Green Metal Flake, Red Metal Flake, and Silver Metal Flake.
