FENIX
Instruments previously built in Korea between circa 1989 to 1992, and 1996 to the late 1990s.
The Fenix trademark was used by instrument manufacturer Young Chang (Korea). Fenix guitars were built at the same time that the factory was producing Squier models for Fender. As a result, models with the Fenix brand name tend to be derived from Fender-based designs. Fenix guitars and basses were popular for a four-year run in England due to their decent quality at a relatively low price. In 1996, U.K. distributors Barnes & Mullins reintroduced the product line, for a short while.
