In 2006, an upgraded model was introduced with shielded body cavities, re-voiced pickups, thicker bridge, and all come with a gig-bag. In 2009, a tinted neck, parchment pickguard and knobs, and a 70s-style logo were introduced.
STANDARD TELECASTER (MEX. MFG. NO. 013-5102/013-5202)
- single cutaway poplar body, bolt-on maple neck, 21-fret maple fingerboard with black dot inlays, six-on-one-side tuners, fixed bridge, chrome hardware, three-ply white pickguard, two single coil pickups, two knobs (v, tone) and a three-way switch mounted on a metal plate, available in Arctic White, Black, Blue Agave (2001-05), Brown Sunburst, Candy Apple Red (new 2009), Chrome Red (2006-08), Cirmson Red Metallic (disc. 1997), Electron Blue (2006-08), Lake Placid Blue (disc. 1997, reintroduced 2009), Midnight Blue (2001-06), Midnight Wine (1998-present), or Sage Green Metallic (disc. 2005) finish, mfg. 1991-present.
Standard Telecaster Left-Hand (Mex. Mfg. No. 013-5122)
- similar to the Standard Telecaster except in left-hand configuration, current mfg.
