D. C. HILDER BUILDER Instruments currently built in Guelph (Ontario), Canada. David Hilder has been building instruments for over twenty years. The acoustic stand up basses are what they mainly produce. These models include the Doghouse and Cathouse and they are over 6 feet tall. Current retail is $750 for the Cathouse and $1,200 for the Doghouse. Hilder's Garcia's Guitar model features seven laminated layers of hard wood, which are then hand carved for the top and back contouring.
