DEAN | ELECTRIC: BEL AIRE SERIES | The bodies for the Bel Aire models were produced and instruments were assembled in the USA by Dean (the serial numbers were stamped under the neck plate area), with the remaining parts being made in Japan by ESP. By 1985, total production had moved to Japan. HOLLYWOOD BEL AIRE | - downsized offset double cutaway hardwood body, bolt-on maple neck, 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, tune-o-matic bridge/stop tailpiece, shrimp fork peghead with screened logo, 3-per-side tuners, chrome hardware, 2 humbucker pickups, volume/tone control, 3-position switch, available in Black, Blueburst, Bolt, Flames, Pearl Blue, Pearl Pink, Pearl Red, Pearl White, Red, Wedge, White, and Zebra Graphic finishes, mfg. 1985-87. |
