D'AQUISTO ELECTRIC James D'Aquisto built several hundred instruments, from archtops to flattops to solid body electrics. Even thouogh D'Aquisto is more famous for his acoustic archtops, his electric guitars are also very special. D'Aquisto electric instruments typically range between $7,500 and $20,000, depending on the desirability of the configuration and embellishments/special orders. Like D'Angelico, most of D'Aquisto's instruments were made to order and varied in dimensions and details. When buying/selling/appraising a D'Aquisto, it is the recommendation of the Blue Book of Electric Guitars that two or three professional appraisals be obtained.
