DAVID KING BASS GUITARS | ELECTRIC BASS | David King's philosophy is to build basses that are as comfortable and easy to play as possible. To this end, all specifications such as body dimension, materials, electronics, and finishes are customer specified. King custom machines all of his own headless hardware from solid brass and aluminum. King's designs combine the latest advances in materials and electronics, with non-endangered and certified tonewoods. The headless DK travel bass (last MSR $1,700) weighs in at 5 pounds. The Ultralight headless model (last MSR $1,900) features a khaya, swamp ash, or butternut body, while the D Bass 4 headless model features exotic wood bodies (last MSR $2,100). The Kappa traditional model has a two-per-side headstock, and a bolt-on or neck-through design (last MSR $2,200). Currently, King offers four-, five-, six-, and seven-string guitars on most models. The Traditional Bolt-on model starts at $2,000. There are several options available on this guitar including headless configurations and carved tops. | |
