ELECTRIC BASS: GROOVE TOOLS SERIES
The Groove Tools line of basses is based on designs from luthier Bill Conklin. The instruments were produced in Korea, and re-checked in the U.S. prior to shipping to the dealer thus maintaining a high level of quality. Groove Tools were disc. in 2005.
GT-4
- offset double cutaway swamp ash body with extended bass bout, figured maple top, bolt-on five-piece wenge/purpleheart laminated neck with tilt- back headstock, two-per-side tuners, 24-fret purpleheart fingerboard with dot inlays, fixed bridge, black hardware, two Conklin active soapbar pickups, volume/blend/bass/treble controls, available in Clear Hard or Cellophane Magenta finish, 34 in.scale, disc. 2005.
GTRP-4
- similar to the GT-4, co-designed with Rocco Prestia, four-string special, 21-fret bolt-on neck, Sidewinder body style with Bird's-eye Maple pickguard, Bartolini P/J style pickups, mfg. 2001-05.
GT-5 FIVE-STRING
- similar to the GT-4, except in five-string configuration and 3/2-per-side tuners, disc. 2005.
GT-7 SEVEN-STRING
- similar to the GT-4, except in seven-string configuration, 4/3-per-side headstock, seven-piece laminated wenge/purpleheart neck, and two Bartolini active soapbar pickups, disc. 2005.
GTBD-7 SEVEN-STRING BILL DICKENS SIGNATURE MODEL
- similar to the GT-4, except in seven-string configuration, 4/3 headstock-tuners, seven-piece laminated Maple/Purpleheart neck, through-body design, swamp ash wings/curly maple top, gold hardware, two Bartolini "Bill Dickens" model pickups, custom Bartolini parametric frequency selector, brilliance/volume/blend/EQ controls, available in Clear Hard or Purple Burst finish, disc. 2005.
