ELECTRIC BASS
Avenger Basses are available in both four- and five-string configurations. Models have a maple body, bolt-on graphite neck, 21-fret ebony fingerboard (86.4 cm scale), Clover tuning machines and Quick Change bridge, two Bartolini soapbar pickups, two-band active EQ circuit, and volume/balance/treble/bass controls. Avenger models are finished in a durable urethane finish that features custom colors such as simulated marble stone. In 2007, Clover recently reissued the Avenger Series and are available in four-, five-, and six-string configurations (five-string models start at $2,348).
The Bass-Tard 4 (last MSR $3,195) is constructed with a solid Flame Maple body, bolt-on graphite neck (86.4 cm scale), 24-fret ebonol fingerboard, Gotoh tuning machines, Clover Special Design bridge, two Bartolini soapbar pickups, three band active EQ circuit, and volume/balance/treble/mid/bass controls. Bass-Tard models are wood-stained then finished in a high gloss.
The Bass-Tard 5 (last MSR $3,595) is in five-string configuration, and is available with the 24-fret (86.4 cm scale) or the 25-fret (91.5 cm scale) neck. Either model also comes in an Alder body with an opaque finish.
Clover's Slapper Series features two models: The Giant Five Five-string (last MSR $3,795) and the Beelzebub Six-string (last MSR $3,995). Both models sport a reverse strung (no headstock) graphite neck-through body design with select tops and backs, and the 25-fret super long scale 91.6 cm scale necks. Hardware is Schaller tuners and bridge, and Bartolini dual coil humbuckers. The on-board active/passive EQ is either a 2-band optimized or 3-band with parametric mid control. The Giant 5 Bolt-On model features a bolt-on neck, and a last MSR price of $3,395.
In 1998, Clover debuted the Xpression model. The Xpression has an offset double cutaway mahogany, red alder, or Swamp ash (disc.) body, Canadian rock maple neck, 24-fret ebony or maple fingerboard (86.4 cm scale), two-per-side tuners, fixed bridge, Bartolini humbucker pickup, volume/2-band EQ controls, and a white pickguard (the first Clover model to do so). The Xpression XP15 Series feature mahogany bodies and are available in four-string (Model XP15.4, MSR $1,996), five-string (Model XP15.5, MSR $2,145, MSR $2,090 fretless), and six-string (Model XP15.6, MSR $2,565, MSR $2,510 fretless) configurations. The Xpression XP20 Series feature red alder bodies and are available in four-string (Model XP20.4, MSR $1,996) and five-string (Model XP20.5, MSR $2,145) configurations.
In 2006, Clover introduced the Apeiron Series, which are modeled after Jazz basses. They feature red alder bodies and are available in four-string (MSR $1,929), five-string (MSR $2,050), and six-string (MSR $2,485) configurations. The Apeiron is also available with hybrid pickups available in four-string (MSR $2,077) and five-string (MSR $2,225) configurations.
In 2008, Clover introduced Argo Series that feature a unique shape and unique pickup configurations.
