BELTONE Instruments previously produced in Japan during the 1950s and 1960s. The Beltone trademark has been used on several different guitars lines between the 1920s and the 1960s. It was first used on acoustic guitars, mandolins, and resonators by Perlberg & Halpin in New York. At least three different electric variations exist of this brand. One use of this trademark has been identified as a House Brand of the Monroe Catalog House. Various Beltone instruments appear to be rebranded Zen-On instruments that were produced in Japan during the 1960s. The second use of this brand was by Teisco of Japan that was imported by Carvin for a short while in the 1960s.
