B.C. RICH
MODEL SERIES IDENTIFICATION
The B.C. Rich Custom Shop allows the customer to build their own guitar! Start by selecting a bolt-on, standard, deluxe, or supreme model and go from there. Visit B.C. Rich's website or contact a dealer for more information and how to order. Custom Shop instruments are not listed in this book because each model is unique!
B.C. Rich has offered the same body designs througout their history (with a few exceptions). Each of these main designs (Bich, Mockingbird, Warlock, etc.) are offered in different series. This allows the customer to get almost any design at various price-points.
Acrylic Series: These guitars feature acrylic (see-through) clear or colored bodies. This series was discontinued in 2006.
American Production: Any American-built neck-through guitar or bass with B.C. Rich, Rico, or R logos.
Bronze/One Series: Entry level instruments that are produced overseas with basic features. Models from this series eventually evolved into the One Series.
N.J. Series: Mid-level quality instruments. In 2004, this series started using the Floyd Rose Speedloader tremolo bridge. The N.J. Series also features Classic models, which are based on the famous designs of the 1970s, and the Signature Series, which are guitars produced with famous names in the music industry. This series was discontinued in 2005.
NT Series: Mid-level quality instruments introduced in 2006. The NT Series replaced the N.J. Series in 2006 and they feature all neck-through-body designs. Features are very similar to the N.J. Series.
Platinum Series: The next step up from the Bronze Series, but below the N.J. Series. This series was discontinued in 2006.
Platinum Pro Series: Similar to the Platinum Series, except features a Floyd Rose tremolo. This series was discontinued in 2005.
Rave Series: At one time, this was the entry level line of guitars.
