BUSCARINO GUITARS | ELECTRIC | Buscarino also built a number of solid body designs. Deluxe Series instruments featured bolt-on rock maple necks, rosewood fingerboards, chrome hardware, and Sperzel tuners. All models were available in Antique Cherry Sunburst, Black, Caribbean Blue Sunburst, Eggshell White, Tobacco Brown Sunburst, Transparent Blue, and Transparent Red polyester finishes. The Classic featured a Wilkinson tremolo, white pickguard, 3 EMG or Duncan SSL-2 single coil pickups, while the Telstar had a Gotoh Tele Tailpiece, no pickguard, and 2 single coil pickups. The Nashville St. featured a single cutaway body (with or without pickguard) and 3 Van Zant single coil pickups. The Pro Bass model had active EMJ P/J-style pickups, poplar or alder body, and 4 Sperzel Tuners. Retail prices ran from $1,245 up to $1,445. Instruments in the Supreme Series had highly figured exotic wood bodies with decorative binding/pinstriping, the Buscarino patented Dead Bolt releaseable bolt-on rock maple necks. The semi-acoustic Hybrid model allowed players to change from piezo to magnetic pickups. The upgraded TeleStar was available with numerous pickup and tone wood choices, while the Mira featured a flame or quilt maple top over alder or basswood body. Retail prices listed from $2,195 to $2,495. Monarch Series instruments are custom carved archtop electric guitars with bookmatched flame or quilt maple over mahogany or alder/basswood bodies. All models featured glued-in purpleheart/ebony/flame maple necks, contoured bodies, and gold hardware. List prices ranged from $2,995 to $3,995. | |
