 BENEDETTO GUITARS | | ELECTRIC: 1000 SERIES | Originally a joint venture between Robert Benedetto and John Buscarino, these solid body electric instruments were made in Clearwater, Florida between May, 1986 and April, 1987. All instruments were completely handmade on the premises, without using premade necks or bodies. Buscarino focused on the electronics, while Benedetto brought the feel of his jazz guitar necks to the models. Following the electric line's debut at the January 1987 NAMM show, the partnership was dissolved. Benedetto continued working alone through April, 1987. While the instruments were well received, he could not produce them fast enough. The line was discontinued and Benedetto resumed making archtop guitars full-time.
A separate serial number was maintained, starting at #1001.
