B.C. RICH ELECTRIC BASS: SEAGULL SERIES The Seagull model was introduced in 1972. "The Eagle Bass was formerly called the Bodine Bass". It was named after a very good friend named Bill Bodine, who, at the time was the bass player for Olivia Newton-John. After the Seagull was redesigned slightly, it was renamed the Bodine Bass. The original Seagull featured a shorter upper horn and the Bodine/Eagle featured a longer upper horn. The upper horn was modified to give the bass better balance.
