ELECTRIC BASS: BERNARDO SERIES
In 1999, they produced the Bernardo Recording model. This was a less-expensive version of the Bernardo Deluxe that had a mahogany top with solid colors for finishes. It retailed for $1,899, $1,999, and $2,199, respectively for the 4-, 5-, and 6-string configurations.
BERNARDO DELUXE (U.S. NTB, BERNARDO ARTIST)
- offset double cutaway maple/purpleheart body, through-body maple neck, 24-fret ebony fingerboard with abalone oval inlays, black peghead with logo, two-per-side tuners, black hardware, two Seymour Duncan Bassline soapbar pickups, volume/blend/stacked bass/mid/treble controls, active electronics, available in Black, Natural Gloss, Trans. Black, Trans. Red, White, or Natural Hand-Rubbed Oil finish, 34 in. scale, disc. 1999.
Bernardo Deluxe Five-String
- similar to the Bernardo Deluxe, except in five-string configuration and 3/2-per-side tuners, disc. 1999.
Bernardo Deluxe Six-String
- similar to the Bernardo Deluxe, except in six-string configuration and three-per-side tuners, disc. 1999.
BERNARDO STANDARD (U.S. NTB)
- similar to the Bernardo Deluxe, except featured less figured woods, pau ferro fingerboard, chrome hardware, available in Acapulco Blue, Black, Cream, White, or Wine Purple solid finish, disc. 1998.
Bernardo Standard Five-String
- similar to the Bernardo Standard, except in five-string configuration and 3/2-per-side tuners, disc. 1999.
Bernardo Standard Six-String
- similar to the Bernardo Deluxe, except in six-string configuration and three-per-side tuners, disc. 1999.
