The Wave model was introduced in 1983.

WAVE (U.S. NTB)

- offset double cutaway body with curled bottom bout cutaway, ash/mahogany body wings, through-body rock maple neck, 22-fret rosewood (or ebony) fingerboard with pearl diamond inlay, Kahler Steeler tremolo, blackface peghead with pearl logo inlay, three-per-side tuners, chrome hardware, two DiMarzio humbucker pickups, three controls (two v, tone), three-position switch, available in Black, Gun Metal Gray, Natural, Pearl Blue, Pearl Purple, Pearl White, Pearl Violet, Red, or Yellow finish, 24.75 in. scale, mfg. 1983-1993.

Wave Supreme (U.S. NTB)

- similar to the Wave, except has figured maple body, 24-fret bound ebony fingerboard with pearl cloud inlay, Leo Quan wraparound bridge, four controls (two v, two tone), four mini switches, on-board preamp, available in Trans. Blue, Trans. Emerald Green, Natural, Trans. Pagan Gold, or Trans. Red finish, mfg. 1983-89.

Wave (U.S. Bolt-On Neck)

- similar to the Wave Bass (U.S. Neck-through-body), except has Honduran mahogany body, bolt-on maple neck, mfg. 1983-1993.

WAVE STANDARD

- Wave style, alder or poplar body, maple neck-thru body, 24-fret ebony fingerboard with diamond inlays, two DiMarzio humbucker pickups, fixed or Floyd Rose tremolo, three-per-side tuners, available in Blue, White, Red, or Black finish, mfg. 1999 only.

Wave Deluxe

- similar to the Wave, except has a mahogany top with a quilt/flamed top, mahogany neck-thru body, rosewood fingerboard, and a quad style bridge, available in Trans. Red, Trans. Blue, Trans. Green, or Black finishes, mfg. 1999 only.

Wave Supreme

- similar to the Wave Deluxe, except has an ebony fingerboard with cloud inlays, mfg. 1999 only.

Wave 7-String

- similar to the Wave Standard, except in 7-String configuration and maple body, mfg. 1999 only.

WAVE (NT SERIES)

- offset double cutaway with curled bottom bout cutaway nato body, quilted maple top, NTB hard rock maple neck, 24-fret ebony fingerboard with diamond inlays, matching classic BC Rich headstock with three-per-side tuners, licensed Floyd Rose tremolo, two exposed humbucker pickups, three knobs (two v, tone), three-way pickup switch, black hardware, available in Trans. Black or Trans. Red finish, 25.5 in. scale, mfg. 2006 only.
